BIOGRAPHY
Krisaya Luenganantakul is a ceramic sculptor and instructor. She was a winter artist resident at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts 2007-2008. Her work has been selected to "The 2nd International Triennial of Silicate Arts Exhibition" in Cifrapalota, Kecskemét, HUNGARY 2008. She has showed her works in Thailand and USA. Krisaya grew up in a suburb of Bangkok where she developed an interest in hand crafts and a love of nature. In her sculptures and installations, she utilizes the image of a woman's organ to represent beauty and comfort found in the feminine spirit. She use multiples as tools for display her work and to communicate her concept. Krisaya earned two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelors of Art Education in Thailand and a B.F.A. in Ceramic Arts at University of Oregon. Krisaya completed her M.F.A. at the School for American Crafts at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004. She teaches at Department of Art, Music and Dance, Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok Thailand.
